October 2004

HARMAA AIRUT:AAMUJEN ocver artThe AIRUT: saga continues with a new full length album! The saga that began with Tenhi's AIRUT:CIWI now stands on its own under the title HARMAA. The Harmaa band is based around the visions of Tyko Saarikko and Ilmari Issakainen. AIRUT:AAMUJEN will be released thru UTUstudio in December. All of its 9 tracks are piano driven compositions varying from romantic atmospheres to darker shades of nature. The UTUstudio website was launched October 22nd.

The next Tenhi album is due to be released through Prophecy productions in March–April 2005. The tentative track listing is:

August 2004

UTUstudio 2003Tenhi has almost finished the recordings for the upcoming full-length album which ought to be released in February–March 2005. It promises to be an intense and strong album which will take the Tenhi saga into even further spheres. The album is once again recorded at UTUstudio and will be released by Prophecy. Tenhi has also extended the original three longplay album record deal with one additional longplay album.

March 2004

Unfortunately the live shows planned for spring/early summer are put off to later period. Tenhi will concentrate on recording the new full-length to get the album out as soon as possible, hopefully at the end this year or early 2005.

February 2004

Tenhi may appear live in a few places in Germany around 4–6.6.2004, and Turku, Finland later that month. More info on that later...

Further recording sessions for the new full-length album will begin in early May. Some working titles for the songs are 'rannalta haettu kivi', 'uuvu oravan luu', 'kuoppa', 'varpuspäivä' and 'vähäinen violetissa'.

January 2004

'Kauan' re-release is out now from Prophecy Productions. Beautiful and rough digipack with two bonus songs from the same Kauan -recording sessions: 'Kielo' (drum/violin version) and 'niin hiljaa auer vie'. Get your hands on this!

December 2003

Updated music section with drum version of Suortuva. Updated UTUstudio with an old grand piano. Updated pictures page with a nice panorama shot from the studio room One.

November 2003

Recording sessions for the next full-length album will continue in the spring, as soon as the studio thaws. A music video for a song off that album is planned, as well as a 6–9 day European tour in the spring.

August 2003

Some 4–5 new songs for the next album have been put together so far in the early 20th century school building where the studio currently resides.

'Kauan' will be re-released later this year, with bonus tracks 'kielo' and 'niin auer hiljaa vie' from the same sessions.

Prophecy productions shall release a rather exclusive 200-piece 'Väre' LP issue during the coming winter; half in white, half in transparent vinyl. Part of all the covers will be hand-painted by Tenhi members.

Two upcoming live performances in Finland with Nest:

Recording sessions for the next album will begin mid-July in a wooden house in the countryside...

The next Tenhi release is planned to be a mCD continuing the 'airut:' saga. An early version of 'kielo' from the 'kauan' sessions will be included, as well as some very old piano tracks.

The Helsinki gig got cancelled at the last minute due to technical issues (pissed-on mixing desk and speakers) at the venue. We'll see if we can arrange a gig in Helsinki during fall 2003.

New unreleased track for download: sydänvalkea.

The Wave Gotik Treffen gig will be on Saturday 7th at Haus Leipzig, Elsterstraße 22, at 20:00. Expect a more acoustic-oriented sound, as we'll be using simpler percussions rather than a regular drum set this time around.

Album release gig in Turku will be on Saturday, February 8th, 2003.

'Väre' to be released on November 11th!

The new album will carry the title "Väre" and will appear at the end of the year. Stylistically the album will carry on along the lines of the debut "Kauan" and lead the listener once again on a musical journey into the endless distance of Finland. www.prophecyproductions.de

Stylistically, the album is - as a whole - darker, slower and extremely diverse compared to its predecessor, with deeper vocals and a dominating role of the "real", natural instruments. www.wallsoffire.de
